I was there on Saturday evening for dinner with friends. I felt so bad that the next day I called them back to go and have lunch with another group. I had a wonderful experience at Trattoria Bar Cantone! This authentic, rustic Trattoria in Carpi is a regional favourite and once you have tasted the food it is easy to see why! The Gnocco Fritto with Antipasto Del Cantone was delicious and we followed with the Punta di Vitello accompanied by roast potatoes, a side dish each of Bieta Ripassata and Cicoria. The veal was cooked to perfection and we also enjoyed a glass of the house Lambrusco! Staff were attentive and very friendly as were the other patrons. It was fascinating to watch Bocciette in play as I had no knowledge of this versatile Italian Billiard game. The Vice President Tonino was gracious, allowing me to take a photo of this unique, game of skill. Overall, I highly recommend and will definitely return.
