We had been missing our summer dinner or lunch dates on the trabocchi for a few years (since pre-pandemic). From Rocca S. Giovanni to Vasto, we had now visited almost all of them. Punta Isolata remained on our plans. Encouraged by the still benign weather despite late October, we booked two weeks in advance for 7 people, one of whom was gluten intolerant and had a meat menu. The intent was to make in-laws and brothers-in-law (who had never been on a trabocco before) experience the thrill of dining on a ''terrace'' immersed in the sea. The expectation, mindful of previous experiences, was to ''rediscover'' (in the sense of ''reaffirming'') the union between the ancient fishing machine (primordial function for which the trabocco was created) and traditional poor cuisine elaborated with raw materials procured on site, i.e. fish and annexes, strictly local. The catering on the trabocchi was born with this essential intent, respecting the tradition and culture of our territory (renamed ''Costa dei Trabocchi''), which is its DISTINCTIVE element, free from any type of homologation and contamination. For those looking for something else, refined cuisine and gourmet dishes, they know they have to orient themselves towards another type of restaurant, with the awareness of what they will find there. Our experience on October 15th on the Trabocco Punta Isolata was very disappointing, with an embarrassing impression on our guests. Worn infinitesimally skimpy, bordering on embarrassing and reduced in variety. Certainly excellent quality of raw materials, for tasty dishes. But, as they say in these parts, ''IT'S GOOD, IT'S GOOD'', in the sense, ''as a tasting it's fine, you can serve the rest''. The rest, unfortunately, wasn't there. 60 euros each is not a lot. They must also be motivated with food, not only by virtue of the exclusivity of the location. In conclusion, for those who want to live an evocative experience, regardless of what and how much they will eat, I recommend, as I recommend, other overflows of the same setting. For those who really want to taste fish, it is better to go elsewhere. EDIT Response from the owner Trabocco Punta Isolata: Dear sir, owner of Trabocco Isolated Point, she doesn't know how to do catering. Instead of taking advantage of customer reviews (grasping the meaning for which they are made) diplomatically and politely showing himself sorry if something was not to their liking (it should be in his interest to promote and guarantee the continuity of his business), he gives ' 'rude'', even in a thinly veiled way, to those who have the evaluation capacity to do so, did not appreciate the culinary experience. I remind you that yours is a public business, that word of mouth exists (for better or for worse) and that the esteemed professionals sitting at our table yesterday (an engineer who owns an important company, a computer scientist and a pharmacist) not only do not they will guarantee you new customers, but they will certainly not miss an opportunity to take them away from you. I also advise you to resolve the inconvenience of DUBIOUS ORIGIN, which occurred yesterday during our stay, so that no other customer in the future will have to suffer the inconvenience of the fetid smell of sewer-landfill which has spread several times in the place while we were having lunch. I don't think it's normal to come across such unappetising odors in an environment where food is consumed. The attempts of one of the waiters to raise the side panels for ventilation were completely useless. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

If in the reservation where everything was explained you told me the phrase "IT'S GOOD HUNTING" I understood perfectly the kind of person I was dealing with... I would have responded with another term.... "PASS APPRESS" If I don't know how to do catering, it's definitely not you who says it.. I treasure all the reviews and comments that are made to me personally, both good and bad. If you write me a sentence in dialect, it's not me who calls you rude, but honestly everyone. ... I'll answer this: for me customers are all the same and we don't give evaluations based on their job title or bank account... So if they had a bad time I might be upset but certainly not to the point of making me cry in despair. I will definitely try to improve as I always have. Do they want to steal my customers?... okay, I'll have a laugh and move on. While the last part you wrote is absolutely a slander since we are in the open sea you can't smell beyond the "cooking smell" (which for me is the smell) ... the sewer-landfill smell. Only she can feel this because she is a very bad and perfidious person given all the nonsense she wrote in her long and tiring novel. Don't take it as an offense but I have every duty to reply...
