I was disappointed with my experience at The Zen. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor and was quite bland. I was hoping for a more vibrant dining experience, but the dishes didn’t have the seasoning or creativity I expected. While the atmosphere was nice, the taste really fell short. I hope they can enhance their recipes for a better overall experience. Dear customer, If you are looking for flavourful in your food you should be ordering items that's flavorful for your palette for example, szechuan, manchurian, spicy garlic etc...We have a whole bunch of flavors and the servers can help you anytime. The item you mentioned is unfortunately without flavors. I would encourage you to ask your servers for recommendations next time and raise any concerns during the meal. *Customers beware!* I don’t usually read the bill but this time I did and noticed a 12% gratuity. Usually restaurants charge gratuities on a table of 6 or more. But not when it’s just two people. Also, if you have such a policy, either let people know before hand or out it on your menu or somewhere visible. You can’t automatically deduct gratuities by yourself. If you think your staff isn’t paid enough, then you gotta pay them by your profits, not our pockets. Gratuities should be dependent on customers. It is an unethical practice. Dear customer, For any table services We will have 12% gratuity which is for the service that the servers provide. We do pay our servers well but that does not imply that customers do not recognize them for their table service and hard work. Tipping is the culture of this country and servers do need to be recognized. We always encourage take out if you would not like to tip. Thank you
