Everything starts with a phone call before the big day, asking for a table for 8 or 9 people and confirming the reservation. The next day (which also happens to be my birthday) we arrive at the place and are seated at a table for 7 people. Theoretically there would have been 8 people, but at the head of our table there was another chair from another table of 2 people where someone else was sitting. Well, no problem, something that can be solved quite easily if we ask the waitress to tell the undersigned to move (this is how it is normally done, at least that's what we thought). I call the waitress, I ask her this, to which the answer comes: "I'm not asking her to move, I asked her once before." We were offered the alternative of moving our table near the street, which we specified when we made the reservation that we did not want. We refused this option and asked, again, that the other man from the neighboring table be asked to move. The refusal came again categorically. Well, I said that we would solve it and a friend (who was not in the job description to be the manager of this place) civilly went to the neighboring table, the man was asked and, as it was logical that it would happen, the man understood and accepted - problem solved! Now we are approaching the climax! Fainting with hunger, we order our food at around 9:10 (or rather we try to do it). There was a bit of confusion with the online menu, because the one from The Other Saint also appeared, so I asked the waitress "What's on the menu here exactly?" Do you have pasta?" "Well, write on the menu what we have at The Saint, they are two separate entities" "Ok, do you serve pasta here or not?" "I don't know, write in the menu" (visibly annoyed and almost rolling her eyes) Well, the peak begins now. We manage to order our food with great difficulty, not knowing exactly what is being served and we almost all decide on the same burger. With joy in our hearts that we will also eat something... . Eh, to see that the universe (helped by the staff members who did not know the schedule of the restaurant where they work) had other plans for us! After 10 minutes, the waitress returns at 9:25 and tells us: "THE KITCHEN CLOSED AT 9:30, WE ARE NO LONGER SERVING FOOD." "...How did the kitchen close? On the menu it says that the food is served until 24. Why doesn't the correct program appear on the menu?" "I don't know, we closed the kitchen" "Ok, and why didn't anyone ask us if we wanted to eat before closing? In any place you go, the last call is made for the last order." Before he leaves as quickly as he gave us the wonderful news, I can say that we are leaving and ask for a note. Well, what followed surprised me too. He comes to pay the bill with the card, he tells us the consumption and I confirm it. To which I am asked the question: "TIP BY CARD OR CASH?????" I remain somewhat perplexed, trying to process the question asked. I would have expected at least a "Was everything ok?" of complacency, considering that we were leaving without food, I didn't foresee that there would be waiting for tips when we couldn't even order what we wanted. The answer: "There is no tip." The end. Out of curiosity, how do you hire people? To me, it seems that I found the winners of the casting from the Olympiad to be boring and boring, not some women employed in the horeca who would have some minimal notions of relating to a client. As a final piece of advice: now there are enough immigrants eager for work, polite and serious. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
