Dans l'éventualité où la pluie vous prenne par surprise durant votre promenade autour de Peacemakers Museum, arrêtez-vous dans ce restaurant. La cuisine indienne est bien préparée à The Raj.
Has moved to the mezzanine parking floor in Nicolway. simply superb. First for a long time that everyone in our party was delighted with their food. I had Prawn Bhoona which was remarkable. the Kingklip starter and Chicken Tikka starter were also top class. Loved the Palau Pander too. A bit expensive at over R1400 for four people but definitely coming back.
When it comes to consistency and quality no Indian Restuarant comes close to the Raj at the Michelangelo towers. For starters their Murgh Malai Chicken Tikka is second to none and simply out of this world! I'm not one for red meat and fish dishes, so my rating is based primarily on the chicken dishes which includes the Biryani, and these rarely disappoint. The portion size is perfect, maybe even leaning to the heavier side for light eaters. Food is always tender, well spiced and well cooked, which seldom disappoints! They make equally good romali rotis & naans too. The service is satisfactory and could be better, with the ambience leaning towards more of a fine dining experience. By far one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Jhb.
