I have to be honest: this place has been my go-to pub for many years. Unfortunately, at the moment, I can no longer say the same, due to some unpleasant vicissitudes that have happened to me. I waited a long time before writing this review, hoping that it was a moment of distraction on the part of the staff or the kitchen, but I had to change my mind. So, let's get to the point. The sandwich was completely inedible, as were the appetizers: some foods were burnt, others even raw. I usually always choose the same sandwich: frankfurters, chips and provola (I attach the photo of the sandwich in question). Unfortunately, the bread was so hard that if it were thrown in someone's face, that someone would no longer have an eye: externally it was overcooked and too rigid. Even the frankfurters were overcooked, even charred, so much so that I had to remove them to avoid ending up in hospital for constipation. The chips, as you can see, were almost non-existent: just four placed there, all dry. And, as if that wasn't enough, there was no trace of provola. This leads to an inevitable conclusion: the sandwich was dry and inedible, so much so that it would not have been suitable even for a dog or a person in difficulty on the street, unless you wanted to be cruel. As for the staff, I was deeply disappointed. Until some time ago, I always appreciated their kindness and helpfulness, but lately it seems that something has changed radically: they appear rude and it almost seems as if they have no interest in serving customers. I would also like to add an episode about a friend of mine. Being allergic to lactose, when he ordered the "Dickens" sandwich, we specified several times that there should be no traces of provolone or similar things, underlining the seriousness of his allergy. Well, the sandwich still arrived with provola cheese: luckily my friend noticed it from the smell, otherwise he would have passed on to a better life. I don't think there's anything else to add. However, I would like to compliment the design of the place, which is truly engaging and welcoming. A job well done. I hope this review is helpful to you and I would like to clarify one important point: my intent is not to offend, but rather to provide constructive criticism. Having been a customer for many years, I expect an adequate level of professionalism and not poor service, both in terms of the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff.
