Such a down to earth, friendly, grounded restaurant spot....we loved riding there and back yesterday and several other couples and families had the same idea. We had an adapted cheese board, but I hear the jaffles are to die for. Go to be among a warm setting with wondering weimeranas and like minded people. Host & staff friendly and attentive. A win. Parking: Gravel on site, behind an electric automated gate Kid-friendliness: There were kids there. Would need to like the dogs. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 250–300

I regret having to rate the Hound lower after today's visit from my family. Food was good, staff was very courteous, but the Hound can no longer be seen as a pet friendly venue. Our Spaniel puppy was attacked moments after we got out our car, by one of the Hound's namesake dogs. The situation was de-escalated by the owner, and we decided to stay for lunch. We were seated on a back porch, with a glass door to control the hounds. We left shortly after having eaten, as the local dogs kept menacing our puppy through the door's glass. Not a good experience todat at all. In conclusion: great spot to eat, to drink, but not pet friendly at all despite the owner's assurances. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 300–350 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
