Most disgusting Sunday Buffet ever! Nothing was fresh. Beef Curry was tough as old boots, Creamed spinach came out of a packet, spring rolls and samosas obviously not made in-house and disgusting, as was what they deemed to call pizza which was soggy and again factory made by the look of it and the poor quality. Basically we were reduced to having 3 small plates of salad starters at R220 per person. The staff stood around and had to be called over on three occasions to remove dirty plates. The place was not really that busy so the staff should have been proactive. Such a shame as the location is stunning, but we will not be going back there to eat. Oh and beware, the coffee machine in the buffet table area is not for free or included in the buffet, yet there is no signage to tell you that coffee will be billed to your tab. So overall a serious let down for a place that a few years ago could always be relied on to serve good fresh wholesome food. Not anymore! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Dear Pete and Shelliey, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent experience at our Sunday Buffet on both Google and Tripadvisor. I'm incredibly sorry to hear that your visit fell short of expectations and wasn't up to the standards we strive for. We understand your disappointment regarding the perceived lack of freshness and homemade items. While we primarily use quality ingredients, we do utilize some pre-made pastries, a common practice in the industry. Our pizzas, however, are freshly made, although not cooked in a wood-fired oven. We acknowledge that transparency about our offerings is crucial, and we'll review how to better communicate this to our guests moving forward. We apologize if the atmosphere felt deserted. We actually had a large group occupying the adjacent room to the main restaurant, which may have created the impression of emptiness in the venue you were seated. The pre Covid Estuary offered a large a la carte menu that was unfortunately not sustainable as a business venture post Covid and we had to align ourselves with the requirements for groups and conventions that frequent the establishment. We take guest feedback seriously, and we understand that perception plays a significant role in their experience. We are committed to continuously improving our offerings and ensuring all guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience. We are continuing reviewing our buffet options to ensure freshness and a wider variety of dishes. Thank you again for your feedback. We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust and welcome you back for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience at the Fish Eagle Restaurant. Sincerely, Jaco Fourie
