If you're looking for gluten free chocolate the only option is dark chocolate as they use barley malt in all the milk chocolate, I tried a couple truffles (one white chocolate lime and a dark chocolate pistachio) and the dark chocolate covered pineapple. It was ok, but I'm not a big dark or white chocolate fan. Lots of options for those who don't have allergies and just like chocolate though!

We were visiting a cottage up in Lakefield and stopped in town to get some items. The chocolate rabbit was open and it did not disappoint at all. All the chocolate offerings were amazing as was the crafted tea and coffee. They also had lovely gift items such as hand crafted indigenous art, coffee mugs and crafts. All items are locally sourced. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I do recommend the truffles, the owner hand paints and crafts them daily. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend visiting!

The cutest chocolate shop! A great selection of candies, sweets and the cutest chocolate items (mini chocolate cowboy hats!) A must visit for the area for teas, coffee, sweets and gifts.
