Dîner au boathouse de kitsilano Beach. Un très bon rapport qualité prix, avec un superbe coucher de soleil sur la baie de Vancouver. Ça nous a donné envié de revenir.

Took my friend here for his birthday yesterday. Other than the view not one good thing comes to mind about our experience. We get there mid day and the restaurant was maybe only half full. Yet it took them over 5min to seat us because the hostess was talking to one of the servers about not seating here aunt in her section. We get to our table and no one came around for about 10min to bring us water. Then TJ came and introduced himself as our server. Filled our water and then took off for another 15min. One of the waitresses noticed we were ready to order and sniped his table I’m guessing? She took our order. We ordered the calamari to share and I ordered the Lobster Bisque. Good came and the bisque was so small! Barely 8 spoonfuls for $16. I’ve been to other Boathouse restaurants and they always give you way more than that. The calamari was almost nonexistent. There was so much vegetable filler on the plate I felt like I was eating a salad. There was very little actual calamari on it I felt so ripped off. Then to add insult to my already lacklustre experience, a table beside us also ordered the calamari and theirs was twice as big as the one we were served. Then the entrees came. I got the pasta which I was told is a fairly big size. But following suit with the rest of the dishes we had, it was quite small. Not to mention the muscles were very undercooked, almost raw, I was forced to spit it out. I mentioned it to the server, she brought it back to the kitchen but they didn’t replace the undercooked muscle on the plate, I am pretty sure they just microwaved it which lead too the pasta getting mushy and overcooked. The plates were VERY HOT coming out of the kitchen and my friend burned himself grabbing his plate. No one warned us about this, why on earth are these pasta plates so hot? And why are servers not warning people when they put them on the tables? My friend ordered the Ravioli which was bland and not that great. The sauces were bother very plain and basic, not what I would expect from a $35 pasta dish and not once did anyone come around and fill our waters. Very disappointed. I am a big supporter of the Boathouse restaurants, I give out probably $1000 worth of gift cards from this place to difference clients every year. I don’t think I will be doing that anymore unless this gets rectified. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
