It’s either I went there on a bad day or the place just isn’t worth the hype. Great atmosphere and aesthetics plus the friendly lady at the door. The food is very underwhelming and bland. We ordered steaks, chips and the famous salad (6/10). The waiter who served us wasn’t really friendly and not very appreciative of the tip we gave him (10% of the bill). I ordered a whiskey sour and it was rather too sweet and I was given an option to return it and get something else at no extra cost but was still charged for it. Nice restaurant that needs a bit of touch ups here and there, but wouldn’t go back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

From the moment you actually on the sidewalk, you are welcomed by friendly smiles. A beautiful and cosy yet vibrant restaurant. Our waiter Bheki was absolutely perfect, never an empty glass, cleaning up our table, explaining the meat cuts and menu with so much passion. Friendly well dressed sommelier came to check on our wine. The wine menu exquisite.... Then the food.... Omw that was just something so special. The starters tonque and skildpadjie was really spectacular and very tasty. Mains ribeye, T bone and rump steak was perfect in every way. Thank you to each and every member, the smile, the chef's, it was an amazing experience and we will be back for sure. Had the pleasure of booking The Blockman for our wedding anniversary. A quiet Monday evening and it wasn't super busy. The restaurant looks great and gives off a great vibe with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The menu has a huge selection of wines for every taste and the selection of meats which is presented by the waiters is really unique! Our waiter was great and was right on que each time it just looked like we needed something. Starters was chicken livers and snails and the snail's creamy sauce was excellent! Mains was the fillet and ribeye and it was grilled to perfection along with the wine to match. Dessert was creme brulé. Will definately visit again! A superb establishment!
