We are actually old regulars and have known this restaurant for a long time. But we haven't been there for years because the atmosphere has changed over the years, as has the quality/quantity. Please don't misunderstand, quantity instead of quality is not for us! But it is undisputed that the portions have become smaller and smaller over the years and the prices have risen, even before Corona. I've been there with two work colleagues for years. It didn't matter whether I had booked a place over the phone or not - they hadn't found my reservation anyway. As soon as we arrived, we felt pressured to order quickly by constantly asking what we wanted to eat. We didn't know that at all... Then the service staff couldn't agree on who should/wanted to take the order. The slightly older one also seemed annoyed because a younger one finally took the order (the younger one was also much friendlier/more professional). Soft drinks are now served in bottles with screw caps, which is a shame, it used to be nicer. The food was okay, the bill was adequate, upscale. We feel that the restaurant should have retained its good-bourgeois charm, from the food, the ambience and the service. All in all, not nice anymore. Excellent Greek restaurant. Amazing experience. We arrive 30 minutes before the closing time in 10 people. Instead of saying we are closing the waitress did all the best to accommodate us all with a big smile on her face. We felt welcome and we had a great dinner. The food was delicious and the price is que faire. It was around 15 euros per person including drinks. I am looking forward to the next visit to Hamburg and the opportunity to eat at Taverne Corfu.
