Nice typical restaurant overlooking Piazza Sordello in Mantua. Upon leaving the visit to the Doge's Palace we were very well received even though it was long after lunch time. Ate good appetizers and sublime tortelli with pumpkin! We had lunch in this place, chosen at random as it was already late. It's not a typical Mantuan place... unfortunately we realized it once we were seated (our mistake)! Good dishes, nothing special! Definitely high covered cost (to then have a simple placemat and a fairly cold room). In general, the bill is high... we took a pumpkin risotto for the 10 month old baby and we were charged full price (€16) even though it didn't have all the ingredients on the menu (e.g. cheese). If I had known, I would have just taken that dish without modifications and finished it myself! The waiter himself offered us the possibility of making a smaller portion suitable for the little girl. A voice out of the chorus in Mantua, Tuscan cuisine in Piazza Sordello, in a 1400s building.
