Tafelzier is and remains THE address for pâtisserie in Nuremberg and the surrounding area. If you want to enjoy French patisserie in Nuremberg, there is no way around Tafelzier. The product range is varied and there is something for every taste. A piece of France in Franconia. Voilà: table decoration! We have been loyal customers for years, trying every macaron (of the month) and looking forward to the new creations. As a rule, the quality of the products is largely okay. However, since 2021 we have noticed fluctuations in quality. Some macarons are not as fluffy and tender as they were years ago. We also often had the feeling that the products no longer seemed quite as fresh as they did in the early days. Fortunately, these are exceptions and it is certainly a matter of taste to a certain extent! Visually, all products are tip top! No product with dents or similar visual defects will be sold. The team here works at the highest level! When we were informed about the quality defects in taste, we were always offered replacement products. The company is very accommodating in this regard. Thank you for that! In general, the team is very attentive and friendly and scores with their knowledge of the range. The inside of the shop is beautiful and very attractively designed. From the outside, the large windows help you get a great view of the store and the display. The prices were always high, but people were always happy to spend the money. However, since the fluctuations in quality and various price increases in recent years, our visits have decreased significantly. Which isn't a bad thing because the products are definitely luxury and you should never lose sight of that. The craftsmanship and the ingredients have their price. However, especially in international comparison, you can find better quality patisserie at a better price (in major cities, mind you). Certainly no one will dispute that. If you are visiting Nuremberg and/or want to treat yourself to a sweet treat, Tafelzier is still THE address for patisserie. ————————————————————— Not part of the review: Last Saturday (02/17/2024) we wanted to treat ourselves to a little something. However, the sight in front of the store really spoiled our appetite. The reopening of a nightclub right next to Tafelzier is leaving its mark. Broken glasses and glass bottles, broken glass everywhere, garbage and various spots of vomit right in front of the entrance in front of Tafelzier made us turn around straight away.
