Dans l'éventualité où la pluie vous prenne par surprise durant votre promenade autour de Michaelerkirche, arrêtez-vous dans ce restaurant. C'est une bonne idée de commander un tafelspitz délicieux. Il y a une vue extraordinaire depuis Taborturm. Un personnel jovial vous recevra chez ce lieu tout au long l'année. Un service décontracté est toujours un plaisir. On peut s'attendre à un prix adéquat dans cet endroit. Vous trouverez une atmosphère familiale ici. Ce restaurant a la note de 4.6 sur Google d'après l'opinion des visiteurs.

In short, save the visit and your wallet for another restaurant. Taborturm is what seems to be a decaying restaurant from a different decade. Appearing fancy on the first glance, in reality it is not. The food was on par with the prices elsewhere in the city. The starters were disappointing (a super cold kohlrabi salad, steak tartar with big and difficult to chew pieces of meat). Main dish was 50/50 - schnitzel was difficult to chew, dry and tasteless; the beef short rib, on the other hand, was unbelievably delicious. We have not tried any dessert because the previous courses were not consistently convincing. There is also a glass box with cakes that look like store bought / defrosted cakes presented in an extremely unappetizing way - why in the world would you put your cakes in the hallway and opposite of the main entrance door, outside of the restaurant?? The staff was all nice and polite, no issues there, we were very happy with them. We would have appreciated if they have taken our coats instead of us putting them in the dedicated space. The cleanliness is also 50/50. The restaurant itself was clean, but the toilets looked like the got locked in time and didn’t experience deep cleaning for some time. You can tell by what you see on the toilet brush. The overall ambiance is not good. The music played was 2010’s bangers, with a waiter servicing you in the white gloves. The view over the city is nice, but nothing extraordinary especially for dinner after the sun sets. Overall I would not recommend this place. I don’t think it makes much sense as a whole.
