Les meilleures options végétariennes à Winnipeg, Canada
par Adelie Dupont
Table est proche de Winnipeg Art Gallery. Les clients n'apprécient pas vraiment prendre des salades à ce restaurant. Un personnel attentif est la seule chose qui puisse gâcher votre soirée dans Table. Un service agréable est toujours un plaisir.

It took a long time for the server to come out, he brought one menu and when we inquired about soup, he went to the back and dug up another menu. What? We ordered bruschetta and the soup of the day, as it was getting close to dinner but we still wanted a bite to eat.
The food took over 25 minutes to come out, which was weird to us because we expected the soup of the day and for the most part the bruschetta to be already prepared apart from the toast and the shrimp (the shrimp was cold so I still don't understand why it took so long). I guess the other group was taking the attention of the tiny kitchen.
The food was not awful, but it was on the pricier side and the quality and tiny portions were not what I would have expected for an "upscale" place and for that price range. The soup was ginger carrot and squash, and it wasn't bad. The bruschetta lacked flavor, had little to no basil and the shrimp was not peeled properly! How gauche! If I wanted to eat the shell of a shrimp I could do that at home for far less than 12 dollars.
We sat around for probably 10-15 minutes after being done, waiting for our server to clear the plates away and to bring the bill. It didn't happen. We got up from the table to find someone and had to walk through an area of tables across from the kitchen. It was almost like a hallway of tables leading to the larger dining area for functions. This area was fairly dark and in a disarray! The tables were littered with every staff members coats, backpacks, purses, school textbooks along with plastic dish racks full of glassware, many brown cardboard boxes filled with stock and large cans of vegetables and sauces.
Something is not right here! I don't know if this area was not supposed to be seen by the guests, but it was literally a hallway to the dining hall. Large parties for functions must have to walk through there???? Even if there was another entrance, the podium for the hosts and where the menus were kept was in the entrance to this hallway. You have to walk through the dining area, to this messy area to be noticed by the staff to be sat. What a systemic error.
We couldn't find our original server, a girl came to the table instead and cleared it off and took payment. Based on the two we dealt with, the staff here are unlike any other restaurant I have ever been to and this is not a good thing. They were inattentive, bored and seemed like they were on their first day of the job and could care less.
Some of the salads, sandwiches and entrees on the menu sounded pretty good, it's a shame that what I did try was nothing special, the service was so bad and the restaurant was set up so poorly. A restaurant in the art gallery in this beautiful space has so much potential, it's a shame that there were so many oversights.

Ate great food, looked out to the outdoor art garden, had excellent service; just a fabulous atmosphere.
The food was so fresh so tasty. Salad was excellent; dressing coated the greens and provided even flavour. And the French fries were perfect you could taste the crunch so I knew they were properly deep fried at two different temperatures to give that them that texture. Service was excellent and we were able to get back to the office with time to spare.
Best lunch I have had downtown time winnipeg in a long time.
