Started well but is fading fast, my first two visits went well. Price, portions and flavours were great, last visit they had no naan bread and no dhal also prices have been changed by hand with marker(not a professional look). I had high hopes, but with so many other options it won't last long.

27 Nov - Updated Review Well it has happened what I was worried about. The downfall actually came too early than I anticipated. The food quality and service have taken a nosedive. Last week I called and ordered a mix combo on phone, the lady said just order the naan and pick your curries when you arrive. When I reached there, I was told there is no order under my name and the lady looked at me like I have asked for free food. I told her no worries take my order now, she walked away and told another lady to take my order. I had to wait 15 minutes. I took chilli chicken and malai kofta. When I reached home and tried the food, malai kofta gravy was too salty to eat,like someone had put 2 spoons of salt in it. Called them back, same lady answered and said not her problem, chef might have messed up. Asked for manager, she said no manager available and hung up. Next day I called, some other lady picked and said she is manager, I informed her everything, she apologized and told to come for refund and fresh food too. I went in the evening, the same lady from day before was there, and claimed she is manager too, denied the fresh food, however gave the refund. She was very rude and unprofessional. Asked for the owner's contact info, she denied and took my number and said someone will call back in a day. It's been a week, no call. Well I am done with this franchise. Never going back. Will never recommend anyone. Old review I have always been a big fan of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. This takeout joint just opened 2 weeks back. TYC stands for The Yellow Chilli. Flyer for this location came in mail, and I was excited and wanted to try it. So I went there last night. It's a small takeout place with some amazing combo deals and very neat and clean from inside. The girl who took my order was very polite and friendly. She took time to explain me the various combos available. I ordered the mix combo, it comes with 1 veg curry, 1 meat curry, 2 naan, biryani rice and 2 gulab jamun. I chose Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, 1 garlic naan and 1 butter naan. They gave huge quantities of both curries and rice. Everything was flavourful and fresh. Biryani rice were fragrant. Palak Paneer and Garlic naan were to die for. I have never had that delicious Palak Paneer in Canada. And all I paid for this combo was a little less than $20 including tax. You can't beat that price. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. They are still new, hopefully they maintain their high standards over the period of time.
