Si vous n'avez jamais goûté la cuisine islandais, venez à ce restaurant. Si vous avez faim, venez ici pour commander des steaks au poivre fascinants. Commandez un cheesecake cuit à la perfection.
La carte des vins est impressionnante, elle ravira tous les palais. On vous offrira un americano immense. La bonne note de Three coats serait impossible sans un personnel attrayant. Un service agréable est ce que les invités apprécient ici. On peut s'attendre à un prix adéquat dans ce lieu. Un décor mignon et une atmosphère belle permettent aux clients de se détendre. Les experts du Frommer ont donné 2 étoiles à cet endroit, ça vaut donc la peine de l'essayer.

Nous avons apprécié notre expérience. Les soupes étaient bonnes, particulièrement celle aux champignons qui étaient excellente. Pour les plats principaux, les poissons et sauces étaient aussi délicieux, mais nous avons été déçu par les accompagnements et la présentation. Le service était aussi lent à notre arrivée, cela a pris un bon moment avant de recevoir de l'eau et qu'on prenne nos commandes. De manière générale, tout était bon. Part of the Reykjavik dining-scene since the coldest part of 1989 Þrír Frakkar, or Three Coats, is a homey Bistro located downtown with a focus on Seafood including traditional offerings such as Whale, Sea Bird and Fermented Shark. Owned by Chef Úlfar Eysteinsson with the assistance of his son Stefán Úlfarsson, the menu largely unchanged across several years, guests are greeted by wooden chairs plus white tablecloths and service that is both slow and inattentive. Open daily at 18h00 for dinner, plus weekdays at lunch, Monday evening found Þrír Frakkar less than a quarter full while a young woman audibly complained about her co-workers rather than taking orders or filling drinks. Beginning with basic White Bread and flavorless Butter, a rarity in Iceland where Butter seems to be a priority, Appetizers selected ranged from slightly sweet French Onion Soup to Smoked Puffin not dissimilar to Pigeon or Pheasant. Opting for two Fish entrees, similar but not the same, Plaice beneath Shrimp “Gratin” was heavy but comforting while “Hashed Fish” reminisced of Quenelles de Brochet with less refinement. A protracted affair with lengthy delays between courses and almost no semblance of hospitality once seated, again very different from every other dining experience in Reykjavik, Dessert found Icelandic Skyr sweetened and torched to good effect next to Gooseberries and mixed Fruit Sauce.
