Excellent déjeuner. Il faut commander au comptoir avant de s'asseoir. Prix raisonnable. La crème fraîche sur les gaufres est excellente. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Pour avoir été en Belgique, nous en sommes très loin ici. Malheureusement, ils n'amenent pas la touche belge que je recherchais. Les oeufs étaient largement trop cuit, les toasts étaient froides et pas beurrées...bref, c'était pour nous une GROSSE déception. Le personnel était acceuillant et souriant. Notez bien que vous devez commander et payer avant même de vous s'assoir ce qui diminue le temps de décision que vous avez à l'arrivée, je n'est pas aimé la méthode de prise de commande...du tout. Je me questionne sur la véracité des avis car ce que j'ai pu constater est tout le contraire de notre expérience. Définitivement, nous n'y retournerons pas.--------------------------------------Having been in Belgium, we are very far from it here. Unfortunately, they don't bring the Belgian touch I was looking for. The eggs were way overcooked, the toasts were cold and not buttered...in short, it was a BIG disappointment for us. The staff was welcoming and smiling. Note that you must order and pay before you even sit down which reduces the decision time that you have on arrival, I did not like the order taking method ... at all. I wonder about the veracity of the reviews because what I have seen is the complete opposite of our experience. Definitely, we won't be going back.

Hi Nathalie, we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. Our owners are originally from Belgium, and have been living here for many years. The recipes and dishes used are drawn from their experience and time in Belgium, although we are also mindful of catering to our Canadian friends' preferences. In regards to your meal, did you mention to anyone that your food was cold or overcooked? We would have been happy to recook your meal in an attempt to solve the problem, if we had have known about the issues. As for the ordering, we switched over to this new way during Covid to help keep everyone safe, and this method works well for us, which is why we have kept it. For new customers, we tell them exactly how our ordering system works, so they know what to expect from the minute they walk in the door. If this system is not to their liking, there are many other restaurants in the area that offer table service. There is never any rush to decide what to order when you choose to dine with us, and if you come a couple of times, you get a bit more familiar with the menu, and don't necessarily require as much time browsing compared to your first visit. We apologize for not having met your expectations! If you have any suggestions on how to improve the authenticity of our restaurant, please let us know so we can pass on these ideas to our Belgian owners. Sweet Belgian Desire is a well oiled machine. I've had many breakfasts here and can say I've never had a single complaint. The food is astounding and the staff are unbelievably great all around. On top of this, Sweet Belgian Desire was fast to adopt smart and effective covid policies that make dining here safe AND expedient. Be sure to get breakfast here. Parking: Can be harder to find spots on Sundays but usually no issue. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and parking are both wheelchair accessible Service: Dine in Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Waffle with Strawberries and Whip Cream with Drizzled Chocolate Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot
