This was my third and not sure if they changed staff or was it because they were very busy either way food and service was terrible and took forever to get. They also brought main course before starters which luckily they rectified. The table next to us waited for one hour and they were told that the kitchen was closed. Absolute disaster, we travelled from different part of Berlin just to eat here and it was bad. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Any friend who would ask me “what is the best Indian restaurant in Berlin?” I would say — Swadishta! But in the last two years the quality of their offerings have gone down significantly. The food is not as good and the service has also fallen low compared to the standards of other Indian restaurants. Some of the chaat options were about 80% close to what we get in India in terms of taste, now it is more like 30-40%. Feels like some of the favorites have got toned down to the european taste to please a wider audience. Basics, of being an Indian restaurant and always offering tap water to the local Indian community are now greeted with “Sir we don’t offer water” lol I mean if you had to make a name for yourself amongst the Indian community by offering so much at the start and then to only take it away — why do it?
