Went this morning to get cookies and also got a Cookies & Dreams ice cream cone. The ice cream, and waffle cone were divine. Excellent! (Was very busy because it was a Sunday!). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20

A Favorite Summer Spot in Yellowknife. If you’re in Yellowknife during the summer, I highly recommend stopping by Sundog Trading Post. It’s one of my favorite places to relax, enjoy great food, and take in the summer vibe. The outdoor space is inviting, and the atmosphere is perfect for a chill afternoon. The ice cream is definitely a highlight! There was a bit of a line, but it was worth the wait. They even sell it by the pint, which is great for bringing some home. Just be prepared—it can get pretty warm inside since there’s no air conditioning, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. There’s also a little shop inside with unique souvenirs and local goods that are fun to browse. Sundog is definitely a gem in Yellowknife for anyone looking to enjoy the season and grab a cool treat.
