Up until the new owners took over recently, these were my favorite subs in the city, easily worth the money. I just got one today, and honestly, I'm not even sure I like it at all now. The quality went WAY down. The bread was hard, the toppings bland, and not as much stuff in it for about the same price. It was notably messier in there, and the vibe wasn't as great as the old friendly owners. It's not gross or awful but any means, but it left me sure that I'm not going to go back, unfortunately. Ultimately, I'm not sure why they would take over an established business to change what's not broken. Sad to have to find a new favorite sub place. Easily the best sub in Windsor. I usually go back and forth between the grilled chicken and the grilled steak, and both are pretty much perfect. Ingredients are fresh, and the seasoning is on point. Don't be put off by what looks like an overdone toasting job, as it actually adds a great flavour and texture dimension. It didn't take long for Sub King Plus to become my go-to, once-a-week cheat meal.
