Stokers Arms was recommended to me by a family member to visit as a tourist from London and Berne [swiss]. For what was told to me vs what I experienced I was incredibly dissapointed. 2 weeks ago, I was at the oyster box in umhlanga and so I know what the bare minimum is vs above and beyond. Last night as a single bachelor, I arrived and waited over 20 min to get a seat and have a waiter recognize I'm a new patron....[I had to ask thr manageress for service. I then ordered Johnny Walker dbl shot on the rocks and asked for 3 ice cubes...the drink took 13minutes and I received a glass full of ice......I then picked out each ice cube. I then had to wait another 30 minutes and had to shout for the waiter to take my food order...This already put my time there at beyond 1 hour... I then paid and went to the outside bar where I was greeted with the typical young drunk adults. However, this bartenderess with bracers literally ignored my existence for over 5 minutes even though I was the only man with a bank card in the air waiting for a drink order... Her Boyfriend who had been to a nearby high-school in ptn shouted for her and then she came to serve me...I then ordered a dbl Johnny walker dbl gold with 3 ice cubes...after a wait, she did bring the right order. Overall, terrible experience and I highly suggest that people from overseas business or not looking for middle class but exceptional character do not go to Stoker Arms neither for drink nor food. I spent over R700 as a single from London although the prices were really cheap at Stokers Arms. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 400–450 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
