What a rip-off place. Very cheekily they keep bottled water on the table and then before I know it they charge $6 for it. When asked they say, it's a fine dining place, u shud know. We went for happy hour, ordered two drinks. Then the guy asked if we wanted peanuts; that's such a normal bar snack for desi-bars. They charged us $25 for it.. not on the menu, but still charged. What a cheat...

Wow does this place have polarizing reviews lol. Can tell from reading them that there are some fake reviews both positive and negative. Let me give u an impartial review then! Food - (4.25/5) - I thought it was pretty good. Portions are on the smaller side. Had the Chicken Tikka Masala with cheese naan. Masala had good flavour and ideal spice level for me (milder). Chicken was moist enough and split easily when cut. Cheese naan was amazing and great texture and flavour. Service- (4.75/5) - unlike some other reviews, I found the service quite good. Was seated quickly and servers were extremely attentive and friendly. I got my order in 5 minutes. They have an abundant number of servers so don't have to wait long for anything. For context I was there on a Friday night and it was quite busy. Atmosphere- (3.5/5) - it's an upscale vibe... kinda like what it would be like if in Vegas in the strip. Dark and loud. DJ was spinning Indian music that was way too loud. Loud enough u could hear it well from the parking lot outside and difficult to have a conversation I would say even. Friday night seemed like a group or couple vibe... not family for sure. Has an outdoor dining area which is nice for summer time. Overall - (4/5) - I think it has good potential and with exception of the overly loud music it's a good meet up place. Candidly, it's definitely overpriced and maybe that's the cause of some of the haters. Drinks are very overpriced. Not great value for Mississauga since there are so many lower priced Indian options in Peel region.

Farzi Cafe is a great dining experience includes some great dishes and some gimmicky. I had been to one of the locations in India previously but the experience at Square One was much better. It's a nicely decorated place with a modern vibe. They had a Dj playing when we were there that gave it a night club vibe. Tried the Pisco Sour, and spiced rum mule which were both very nice. My son had a Solero which is a alcohol-free pineapple drink which was also very nice. The alcoholic drinks were served on the back of a toy truck decorated with a plant. The drinks were good but the trucks were a little silly. For appetizers. Had the Dragon Fruit Pani Puri. The presentation was amazing with the pani (spicy water) in a giant boba-like ball placed in a cupcake mold shaped Puri filled with chutneys. Nice mix of sweet and spicy. My wife and son loved it but I would have preferred it if the spices were a little more subtle. Also had the soya chaap and crispy lotus stem apps. The soya chaap was very nice in a lightly seasoned yoghurt sauce with chopped onions and peppers. The lotus stem was tasty but the sauce tasted a bit too much like ketchup. For mains we had dal makhani, malai kofta, and herb crusted paneer with gravy with naan. The dal was solid but otherwise unremarkable. The paneer dish had an elaborate description but was essentially paneer makhani with a very nice presentation. The malai kofta was the best main we had by far. Hints of fresh herbs, crunchy toasted nuts in a rich creamy gravy. Loved it. The garlic naan was also well made. Capped things off with their gulab jamam show. They bring a plate of 4 gulab jaman and top it with a kulfi (Indian ice cream) which they flash freeze at the table with liquid nitrogen. It gets topped with berries, nuts and some syrup and finally crumpled bits from a frozen rose.  Very tasty and fun experience. Please note they automatically add an 18% tip to you bill. I didn't notice until I got home and ended up paying an extra $50 on top of the gratuity they already included. The service was very good but I probably wouldn't have tipped that much had I noticed. Still, made for a fun night out.
