Bouteille commandée servie déjà entamée. Table et verres sales. Erreur dans la commande non rectifiée. Personnel énervé qui courre partout et manque d’efficacité. Peut être dû au festival de Little Italy ? Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: CA$40–50

Two weeks ago a fried and I ate at Sotto Voce. Dinner with grauity came close to $300. Two weeks later, I came by myself. It started well, a server came to my table and gave me sufficient space and time to consider the wine and starter. Proper eating for me takes time. I order my other dishes after my starter salad has some time to settle. I advised my server that I will order my main courses at the conclusion of my salad. Two hours later I was still waiting for my waiter to attend my table! I sat there watching all the other patrons, and they watching me, they who do not ethnically look like me being served and who concluded their meals while I stil sat there waiting to see how long this discriminatioin would continue. Sotto Voce won, they had more time than me. I had work to still complete last evening. I gave in and when to the bar to pay my $30 bill, with the request for grauity ranging from 20 to 25 percent! I gave 3%, it was a way of saying my class coming from representing a number of Canada's largest corporations as their lawyer in cities ranging from San Francisco, to New York, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Paris and numerous Italian cities, including Roma and Florence, whose restaurants and quality service made sotto vocce seem like a hole in he wall, wanting to but not being able to play in the big league. I also wondered, as a a lawyer, should the Ontario Human Rights Commission be made aware about this? Thankfully, being a collector of Italian wine, I was able to choose a decent glass of wine that I made last two hours, I am sure to the dismay of the staff. In that sense I won!
