The location is very good. The pub on the ground floor was also a great experience as there was always a lot going on there in the evenings (you don't hear anything about it in the hotel) The beds were good, but unfortunately that's about it. The rooms themselves had the charm of a youth hostel from 1980. The breakfast was sufficient, but felt more like a bakery store. Will we book here next time? Only if there is nothing free nearby. An aging hotel waiting for a refurbishment. What's the use of a touch of modernity with the self-check-in if it doesn't work technically - the trouble is inevitable. And by the way: Even if the entrance gives the impression that the Aarauerhof belongs to the Sorell chain, this has not been true for several years. Too bad for the super location!
