I can't help myself when there is a food truck festival. I submit to the indignities of long lines in the hot sun to eat something that may or may not be noteworthy. Fortunately, the weather was decent at the Langley Food Truck Festival. We chose to start with desert, our basis being the length of the line was not too bad at that moment at Slavic Rolls. I was surprised to learn that the proprietor was Italian and not eastern European but we certainly did not hold that against them! Photographed here in what is evidently his signature move (the sprinkling of the cinnamon sugar), these folks are singular in turning out one product, a sort of tubular baked cinnamon roll filled with your choice of many tasty concoctions including fruit flavours and Nutella. We tried ours with apple pie and ice cream and had no regrets. The cinnamon roll itself was delicious and being both just crispy enough and yet retaining some baked roll softness. At $9, this is probably not a bad deal. Nicely done, Slavic Rolls!

My wife and I follow the Fraser Valley Food Truck Festival and have had the privilege of sampling the rolls made by this truck at various locations. I am pleased to say that they have never failed to impress. The flavoured creams are not overly sweetened as to taste artificial and the sugar coating is even all around it. The best part however is the pleasant staff are fun to interact with and enjoy people and what they are doing.

The rolls are large and filled with lots of filling. Don't expect to be graceful when eating the rolls. The staff are very friendly. $7 got you a roll and 3 flavours.
