Très bon restaurant, ambiance intéressante qui change des restaurants ordinaires. L'endroit ne paie pas de mine de l'extérieur mais c'est très sympa à l'intérieur. Plats très bon et prix correct. Une bonne découverte.
Shy's Place Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers an abundance of ambiance and cultural charm. Housed in a beautifully preserved old building, the restaurant is steeped in history, thanks to the owner's efforts to save and transform it into a delightful dining spot. The architecture and decor are stunning, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the place. The food, while not five-star quality, is decent, and the average cost is around $40 per person. One of the standout features of Shy's Place is the ample parking available, making it convenient for all visitors. Additionally, the restaurant is accessible to people with disabilities, which is a significant plus. However, a word of caution for those with sound sensitivities, particularly autistic individuals: the outdoor area tends to have loud music, so the quieter indoor seating might be a better option. The waitstaff at Shy's Place are exceptional. They are respectful, well-informed, and patient. Our visit was on a Sunday when it wasn't busy, and despite reserving a table, most were empty. This might vary on other days, so consider whether to make a reservation. One downside was the service regarding specific requests. We had to remind our waiter several times about bringing tea, and the toast we asked for arrived towards the end of our meal. Despite these minor hiccups, the overall experience was pleasant. In summary, Shy's Place Restaurant is a wonderful venue filled with history and cultural beauty. It's an excellent choice for a relaxed meal in a lovely setting, especially if you appreciate historical sites. Staff and owners believe they are special. How can 8-10 servers all be mask exempt????. How can they tell customers we don’t require masks.
It’s irresponsible and ignorant, but sadly that’s the comment denominator at this place. Lots of made up policies, lots of grandeur behaviour and average food. I have to believe people who are delusional too would like this place. In my opinion there are a lot of fabulous restaurants that respect and honor their customers. This is not one of them.
