Our food was freshly cooked, the samoosas were delicious. We only use jam tomatoes to prepare our tomato sauce, which is slightly sweeter. If you ordered mild, then we dont add extra spices as there are no chillies to compliment the spices. More

A real hidden gem, this is one of the best Indian meals we've had. Having an open mind, we were really impressed with our starters. Chicken samoosas were light, crispy, and not swimming in oil. The tandoori lamb was SO tender we didn't even need a knife. High expectations for our mains, which were pleasantly met. Butter chicken medium was rated as one of the tops by my boyfriend, but the real winner of the night was the lamb malabaar. Super tender, full of flavour, no sign of fatty oils pooling on top. Accompanied by fluffy rice and garlicky naan it was top class. Also found my second favourite wine, Anura Malbec. What a lovely evening we spent at Shamani Indian cuisine. We have two small fur babies and they accommodated us at a lovely table on the porch area which was quiet and just perfect. The food was amazing, filled with flavour and just the right strength that we asked for. Please give the Pani Puris a try, it was well presented and so delicious. Our waiter was so patient and attentive. I wish we had more time in Cape Town as we would definitely have gone back for another meal.
