A Taste of Home in the Heart of Rome, 7 Seven Lanka Restaurant During our road trip across Italy, France, and Switzerland from the UK, we made a special stop in Rome and what a heartwarming experience it turned out to be. After reuniting with our dear friends from Sri Lanka after seven long years, we headed to 7 Seven Lanka Restaurant for lunch. It felt more like visiting a relative’s home than a restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by Ranji ayya and Nisanla akka, the lovely owners of the place. Their hospitality was beyond words, it truly felt like going to our mother’s house. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan flavors, and the cleanliness and care taken in every detail of the restaurant were remarkable. Having lived in the UK since 2004 and travelled extensively, I can honestly say this is the best Sri Lankan food I’ve tasted anywhere in the world, second only to my mother’s cooking. If you’re ever in Rome and craving genuine Sri Lankan cuisine with a side of love, this is the place to go. Worst food. They cheated us. We had 2 beers but charged for 3. When we tried to clarify they would not listen. First he made a bill of 51 Euros and after paying it he said they was a mistake in the bill it is 58. He was not ready to accept that we had only 2 beers but he mad us accept that his bill was wrong n that we had to pay 58 instead of 51. The next day all 4 of is had stomach upset. Never visit this cheating and dirty restaurant. The toilet does not have tissue, and soap.
