We visited Croatia in June and drove from Dubrovnik to Pula with 5 accomodations. (B&B, hostel, hotel, appartement, etc...) This accomodation was the only one that we did not like. The doors and the bed creak. The first time I laid on the bed, I felth there is a big 'dent' in the mattress that forced me to the side of the bed. Very uncomfortable. When I informed the host, she immediately said "this is memory foam" - "other visitors love the mattress" so I proposed for her to feel the mattress. She quickly responded "I will change the mattress". That night when I got home, the same mattress with the same dent was on the bed. My t-shirt was still on the pillow in the same sloppy way I put it there. I called the owner and she simply said she changed the 'memory foam'? It's also strange that there are stickers and butterflies on EVERY wall. The walls are very thin and you can hear the television and talking of the neighbours. The apartment is remote, which usually gives the advantage of silence. Here, this is not the case. I noticed there's bird poo on the pool chairs. PS: The rooster starts crowing at 7 AM.
