We visited the Michelin-starred restaurant “Selfie” in Moscow for my birthday. Initially, we were seated at a table for two in the center of the hall, but next to us was a noisy group of 10 people. And when we asked to move us to another table (we couldn’t even hear each other because of them), they immediately offered us a table at the other end of the hall, which had a view of the entire restaurant. About the menu: Russian cuisine with a modern twist. As an aperitif, we were served home-made rye and wheat bread and whipped butter with hints of lemon and basil. The butter turned out to be very fluffy and tasty. We ordered: - crab cutlet with baby corn and crab sauce - lamb shoulder with new potatoes and sorrel - amber persimmon, halva ice cream and salted caramel - 2 cocktails - Basque cheesecake with strawberry ice cream (brought for free, in honor of the birthday) The interior is stylish and well zoned. We liked the open kitchen with a table around its perimeter. That is, you can dine and watch how the dishes are prepared. This area is also decorated with large candles and gingerbread houses. Prices: our order for two came out to 5900₽, but we wrote off 1000₽ as bonuses thanks to the White Rabbit Family application, which we gave in honor of our birthday. Selfie recently has received a Michelin star, that was the reason I wanted to check it out. After eating there, I can tell that it’s well deserved. The service is top notch, the food is out of this world. Totally recommend Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
