Copyright blackjohannes. This Seattle Coffee Company NEEDS SPECIAL MENTION for a specific reason. It is situated in Athol Oaklands at the Caltex Garage close to the leafy and tranquil suburb of Houghton.(0 stars for Caltex, with some of the petrol attendants makes derogatory and sexist comments to the females ), 1 Star to Fresh Stop. Cannot be called afresh Sop and Foodlovers Market us doing damage to the brand in general serving those fruits as fresh I would give Seattle Coffee Company a 5 Star. However, due to Barista par exelance, named Kabelo (KB), I will give him 7 Stars. It is based on years of great and friendly service by (KB). Come rain, hail, cold weather, being alone in wee hours of the morning, he has been respectful, he has been friendly. He will work longer hours. He will be there on Christmas, New Year and holidays when he can. He will work double shifts with little sleep. He is going beyond the extra mile. He has introduced new options of drinks to my colleagues joining me, my partners or family/friends who was with me during certain visits. However, there is another side to my praise singing. Sadly some petrol attendees and late night staff made derogatory comments and even sometimes openly laugh at them. Whilst the petrol attendants made derogatory comments of various guests and Caltex should investigate their disgusting behaviour. He served the interest of Seattle like a loyal soldier on duty. Even when some staff (especially male petrol attendants from Caltex treat people in a disgusting and derogatory way. KB would served every person with dignity. The garage is unique as there are big gatherings of people who gather even up to the wee hours of the morning creating a unique community. KB served those big groups with the same enthusiasm as well as the late night owls: security, ambulance workers, tow truck drivers ect. Most of them are regular customers. In years of serving us at midnight, 03h00 in the morning or even being here when the sun was rising, KB never said one bad word. Thanks to KB especially, but also to the other lady baristas who served us with dignity. I still go to visit KB and this Seattle, even if I have to drive 200kms to get there at times. I can be assured my kickass Espresso will be ready, double or triple poison, JUST AS SEATTLE PROMISED; THE WAY I LIKE IT. BUT KB MAKES an espresso BETTER THAN ANYBODY. HE PUTS HIS SOUL INTO THE ART OF COFFEE MAKING. Thank you, KB, my brother.
