I would like to share my experience about this facility. The serving grandmother recommends the daily special and guarantees it is 100% water buffalo. After asking twice, it is still guaranteed to be 100% Buffalo. When asked if it was a hack, they said no. (was hack) Food arrived, meat was a mix of pork, beef and Baffalo. When asked the third time whether it was really just Baffalo, the older lady said in broken German that she had to ask after it had been guaranteed twice that it was Baffalo. Imagine someone is allergic and your server recommends things without knowing what they are. The kitchen is 2 meters from the checkout. Complete incompetence and dangerous way of working. There wasn't much going on, which meant you could comfortably ask what it was about. If you pay 80 francs for an overpriced dish, there should be a certain level of service and quality. Attention, this is not an honest mistake, it is a lazy, decency and disrespectful approach to people's health. There is no quarter for that. Conclusion; Serving grandmother recommends the daily special without knowing what it was made from, but lies when asked in order to sell it. Until I started eating, it was guaranteed and affirmed that it was 100% Buffalo, but as soon as I ate, the staff suddenly wasn't sure anymore. So really bottom drawer. Because of the beautiful view of St.Gallen and the surrounding area, we visited the restaurant for an upcoming excursion by the Bonstetten cultural group and ate there. All regional products, some products that we didn't know, such as the pomace slices. Everything was lovingly arranged on the plate and it tasted delicious. We had our restaurant for the excursion. On this day the entire cultural group was rewarded. We had good and sunny weather between many rainy days, great food and the service was reserved especially for us. Mr. Arber served us very friendly and quickly, there were second helpings with the meal if requested and the wine was also very well selected. The young team with my contact, Ms. Ebneter, worked hard to look after us and completely exceeded our expectations. Many of our group would love to come to Scheitlinsbüchel again. Thank you!!
