My wife and I stumbled upon Sakai and we were not disappointed. To start the atmosphere was fantastic. It was busy and lively but not overwhelming. The service was good, the staff were great at recommending items. The food itself took some time but we were happy to wait and have a drink. The food itself was pretty good but expensive. The ramen topping were my favourite; the soy marinated egg was fantastic. The gobo Kimpira was also very good. The only reason this wouldn’t get a 5 from me is the cost. $26 for the ramen toppings when that cost would be what it is for an actually bowl of ramen at a decent place is a bit steep. We will likely be back again to try some more of their wide variety of sake! Service: Dine in Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Every single dish we ordered (six in total) was amazing! Highlights were the warm potato salad, beef tongue, and the tonkatsu sandwich. The potato salad was full of texture and flavor, the beef tongue melted in your mouth, and the tonkatsu in the sandwich was cooked to absolute perfection—so tender, unlike any I’ve had before. The staff and chefs were incredibly friendly, even though we were the last customers of the night. They didn’t make us feel rushed at all and even chatted with us. The atmosphere, music, and overall vibe of the restaurant were spot on. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Toronto—highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Always a special evening when I visit Sakai Bar. Attentive, welcoming and warm service. Everyone on the restaurant' team absolutely cares about their guests' experience. Incredible selection of sake, beautifully crafted menu. Sakai Bar is a treat and an escape! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
