I visited the "Saffron Kabab Restaurant" last Sunday and had a very disappointing experience. The food was below expectations. The taste of the kebab was not good at all and lacked flavor. Ghorme Sabzi was not cooked well! The service was equally unsatisfactory. Additionally, the decor was not appealing - the seating was uncomfortable and the restaurant was poorly lit. Overall, my visit to Saffron Kabab Restaurant was far from enjoyable, and I would not recommend this place to others looking for a pleasant dining experience. Disappointed

Our experience certainly does not match the reviews and recommendations sent our way for delicious Persian cuisine.

We did attempt to call in a take-out order, however there was no answer to multiple phones calls over a 30-minute time frame – Keen to try the famous food fare we then drove to the restaurant.

We arrived to a very busy restaurant with no A/C on perhaps the hottest day so far this year.

Inside we were greeted by a very friendly staffer who took our order indicating it would be ready in some 20 to 30 minutes.

Arriving home we first opened the salad to find iceberg lettuce that was an unappetizing mix of yellow brown and white with decay – we picked out the peppers, olives and feta cheese and then disposed of the inedible salad in the garbage!

The lamb chops were burnt, dried out and overcooked to the point that they were stringy and chewy tough. We managed to pick out a few edible bites and then the inedible chops found themselves next to the salad in the garbage!

The accompanied rice was the only redeeming, edible part of the meal!

Afterwards, the Persian custard cake desert and Persian Ice Cream was the best part of the meal…… however they could not completely wash away the distaste of the main course!

Was our experience an anomaly?

All we know for sure is we are out $83 for an inedible meal and we will not return!
