Always a good spot for a work lunch. Atmosphere is fun, food is great for the price and the drink prices are adequate. Parking may be a bit of a struggle depending on the day and time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 100–150 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I was invited to their open mic to perform my music there, the owner said everything would be fine and they would be able to play my music. As all my fans, friends and family arrived to watch my play the management said they would not be able to play my music, they said "it would look like a karaoke" and they do not support any acts that does give off that look. Eventually I went to speak to management where I was met with huge disrespect, disappointment and frustration. Not one of them could make a plan they sent me up and down the whole time from one person to another, to try fix the problem but in reality they took me for an idiot as the sound guy used a tablet that only adjusted the volume and the whole sound interface could easily have played my songs without hesitation!!! They infact just don’t support any afrikaans artists that do not have a band and that does not do afrikaans pop or folk music. Where I figured that they took me for a fool was when one of the guys played a song but he had a backtrack on his songs. The manager lady was also highly disrespectful towards me, my friends and family!!! If this is how bias your "open mic" nights are then you better start labelling it as such, but also don’t support Angie Oeh as well since she also did afrikaans hip hopin fact don’t let any afrikaans hip hop artist perform there again ever because if this is how we get treated at your bar, its utterly discriminatory and disrespectful towards us, even your MC who is one of my mates agreed with me on how unfair you were treating me and my people!!! Well done sowaar bar literally lost 20 customers in one night!!! Guess its a new record but this is also going on tiktok, facebook and instagram so I can warn other artists that do hip hop not to perform there before they get treated the same!!!!
