I was previously employed here in SOHO in Roskilde, and I have to say, it is honestly one of the WORST workplaces I have ever been to, we have a totally psychopathic boss - with absolutely no humanity, who is PURELY driven by be EXTREMELY results-oriented. Here is what you as an employee can expect: 1. If you fall ill and ask the boss if there would be an opportunity whether others can take your shifts (since you are sick) [This is a concrete example of an incident] - Then the boss will say that "Well, so you can't make it? Well, you just have to take the remaining two shifts and then you don't have to come back" 2. The boss actively uses the surveillance cameras to spy on the workers, so if you talk briefly (while doing the dishes, for example) he will leave his office and remind the employees that when they are at work, you shouldn't talk about anything other than work. 3. You can expect to be spoken to and shouted at at the slightest mistake - or if you try to be smart and optimize or streamline a work task, you will be met with a thundercloud of anger from the boss. A concrete example of this is: At one point the boss comes into the kitchen, where we are washing up. There we have two waste bins, one is used by those who cook - and the other is used by the dishwashers. One day, the cooks had used the dishwashers' trash can and put it somewhere else, and when the boss came in, he shouted and screamed at employees in the dishes because he used the trash can and because "he had moved it after all" it was the chef who had done it this which was also explained. However, the innocent employee got all the blame for it. 4. The boss constantly comments on your physique. If you are severely overweight or thin - then you can expect to hear many comments about how you should either reduce your food intake - or start strength training at the gym - just like the boss himself has done in the past (strength trained) SoHO in my assessment is the absolute WORST workplace and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do NOT get a job here. Even the employees who "like the workplace" they absolutely hate it, and are only there because they have no education and desperately need money for an apartment. With this message, I hope that you as a reader want to improve social responsibility - precisely by dropping being a customer/employee at SoHo. Change of management is needed - (difficult since it seems to be family owned and is private) but honestly, drop SoHo. There are many good bars, restaurants and nightclubs in Roskilde, so don't choose the one that supports child labour, illegal working hours (some work 60 hours a week) and modern slave whipping to the highest degree.
