Petit resto très intime, avec du super bon poulet. Leur salade de choux est la meilleure.

Good morning, I am Belgian, cook and visiting my daughter in Canada. I lived there myself 40 years ago. I had a memory of fried chicken from the time, it was not known in Europe and which I really liked here. What a disappointment when I returned to the same brand and realized that it no longer had anything to do with what was offered at the time. On the advice of my daughter, we went to La Rôtisserie Chantecler BBQ with, I won't hide it, some apprehensions. What a surprise, first of all the welcome, the owners' sister, a delightful lady and very attentive to our comfort and our slightest wishes. Then comes the order, very understandable given that we were accompanying young children, she advised us and told us that the portions were not negligible and that one for two children was more than enough, she was right! Arrival of our order, second surprise, it's copious, it's excellent, served very hot, the chicken is crispy and golden, excessively moist and delicious, beyond all past experiences! Finally, my daughter tells me, hot and crispy fries, normal, as advertised and like everything else, here everything is homemade, right down to the desserts which are also really very good, the sugar tart is to die for! Third surprise, the bill, unbeatable value for money, cheaper than anywhere else, for and as you would have understood, a moment of family pleasure and good memories. As my trip approached the return, we returned there a second time, more numerous, and always the same pleasure, this time orchestrated in the dining room by one of the owners himself, just as kind and helpful as our first visit. The chef came to greet us at the end of our meal, proud as he could be of having prepared his little specialties for us and clearly happy to see us again for the second time in eight days. Thanks again to this trio of professionals who, unfortunately, are so lacking in many restaurants. Look no further, the good “homemade” is here!!!!
