Sunday December 27, 2020: The employee behind the counter, an older man who I get the impression that he is having a midlife crisis because of his little hair and wanting to make a ponytail with a braid (I even now think he is the owner), is rude , quick-witted, ill-mannered and thinks he's nice. I'll call him Ali for convenience. This concerns the following: 1. I walk into Rotiland; 2. At the same time, a man, who later turns out to be an Uber delivery person, walks out of Rotiland; 3. A home delivery person and I are the only “customers”; 4. There is no one behind the counter; 5. So while I'm waiting for 3-5 minutes, I've had time to study the menu on the wall; 6. Due to the COVID-19 measures, a transparent screen has been hung in front of the counter and a balustrade of approximately 50 cm. so as not to get too close; 7. Therefore, the menu is difficult to read because: a. The distance to the menu; b. The transparent screen makes the menu appear cloudy and glossy; 8. After waiting, the employee (read: owner, Ali) emerges from the catacombs, where the kitchen is located; 9. Ali has an order in his hand and looking at me he shouts something, with the home delivery person saying that the Uber delivery person has gone outside; 10. Ali asks what I want; 11. I ask: do you also have a bowl of chicken for sale?; 12. Ali turns and looks up at the menu and asks if it's on there; 13. While I say: no, it is not there, but it is difficult to read, he continues to talk about how it is not there, in a derogatory, rude, ill-mannered, grumpy and smart-aleck tone; 14. I raise my voice and tell Ali that he could have said it in a normal way and a simple yes or no would have been sufficient and have happy days afterwards. A similar incident happened a few years ago, but with Ali junior (I think). The fact is that they are ill-mannered people. And the reason for not having a PIN machine because there are costs involved is very outdated. In my opinion it is tax evasion. This may be investigated, also by the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority! Definitely no more Rotiland for me: the service and customer friendliness are second to none!
