Unfortunately this business is quite deceptive in how they charge for pizza. The menu board at the entrance quotes a very low price (i.e. for 100 grams), but they don't tell you how much it is per slice until after they have cut it and handed to you over the counter, at which point you are expected to pay. Obviously, handing the pizza back to them would be very awkward and they seem to know this. Two small slices of pizza and a soft drink was 17 euro. Even when I asked if they could cut a smaller slice of pizza, the response was "it's not possible". While we were there, we witnessed other tourists being surprised (and some leaving the store) because of the pricing tactics. However, the good thing about Rome is that there are great pizza places on every block, so we had no reason to return to Pizzeria Romana al Taglio for the rest of our trip.
