The sushi here is really great, and the staff was friendly. No complaints there! However I came here with my partner to get Chinese food takeaways we’d both been craving for a while. I (unfortunately) ordered the Crispy Chicken with noodles instead of rice. The noodles came separately, had no flavour and were extremely oily; the chicken and sauce came separately as well, and there was barely enough sauce to cover a third of the chicken. Maybe I just had seriously unrealistic expectations but I thought it would all come together covered and mixed in the wonderful-sounding peanut satay sauce. What I got was bland (not crispy) sliced crumbed chicken, with an extremely bland sauce that was such a tiny amount, and super oily bland noodles. I didn’t eat more than 3 bites of my food and I would have thrown it away if my partner said he’d eat it for lunch tomorrow, but he also says it’s bland and not that great and he eats most things so it’s not just me being fussy, especially for a R112 meal. He ordered the Firecracker noodle, medium, and he said it was very nice and enjoyed it. I tasted it too and it was miles better than what I ordered but we both agreed it was quite oily - however the good flavour made up for that and I would order it in future. We also ordered a tuna maki portion each which was amazing and I have zero complaints. Sushi chef did a good job! The cashier lady we spoke to was also very friendly and apologised for the long wait (we didn’t mind this, we weren’t in a rush). I’m just overall disappointed because I had really been looking forward to this meal. I’ve had sushi here in the past and it’s always amazing so this meal was just very disappointing and I’m honestly kinda sad. Please consider looking into this dish (the Crispy Chicken) to make it better for the next person, because I will never order it again. Saw Rock Thai on social media and was excited to try it out. I went to Rock Thai Sushi at 8:50 PM, but they said they were closed. Both Google and the signs on their windows indicated they close at 10 PM. The staff was incredibly rude and the interaction was unpleasant. They didn’t make me feel welcome at all. When I asked if I could place an order, they just stared at me without responding. As I decided to leave, they started shouting at me. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
