I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Riso Zafferano," a charming Persian restaurant nestled in the heart of the city. I’ve been to many Persian restaurants and can hand on heart say this was the best food I have ever had. The menu at Riso Zafferano is a delightful array of Persian culinary treasures. I started with cabbage dolma. The flavours were exquisite, and it was the perfect way to begin the evening. For the main course, I couldn't resist trying the Makhsose, featuring succulent marinated minced kebabs and saffron flavoured chicken served with fragrant saffron rice. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the saffron-infused rice was nothing short of divine. The restaurant's attention to detail extends to their traditional drink offerings. I enjoyed a refreshing glass of doogh, a yogurt-based drink with a hint of mint, which complemented the meal beautifully. To round off the evening, I indulged in a slice of their saffron ice cream also known as bastani, which was both sweet and nutty, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The service at Riso Zafferano, was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who were eager to explain the nuances of each dish. In conclusion, Riso Zafferano is a delightful culinary destination for anyone seeking an authentic Persian dining experience.
