According to my husband, ice cream was very tasty. I had cappuccino. We sat or drank in the restaurant. We only received a glass container with ice cream and a metal spoon for the ice cream upon request, as there weren't enough spoons available. According to the employee, the waffle iron didn't work properly and there was a wait of at least 20 minutes. We gave up. The service was friendly, but seemed annoyed. The restaurant itself is very nice and I would recommend it for ice cream Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Unfortunately, fans of creamy, tasty ice cream are out of place here. Milk ice cream was much too chilled and slightly gritty (ice crystals), probably neither egg yolk nor cream in the recipe and not even locust bean gum to thicken it, I'd bet, and if so it wasn't set correctly. no melt, no notable consistency and unfortunately the taste was very much in the background... (probably without salt) That doesn't have much to do with ice cream, there was milk in it and it was cold, otherwise NOTHING was wrong! Not even the temperature was right. The vegan orange sorbet was significantly better, but unfortunately it was vegan (sorbet is much better with egg whites) so it probably needed the brutal cold in the refrigerated counter so that the vegan frosted lemonade didn't go to waste..... it didn't matter, it tasted a bit like Capri was okay. The cappuccino was good, I'd like to give it 2 stars for that (if it was 'just' a coffee bar and there were decent cups instead of these bioplastic things it would have been even more) The counter worker was very nice and friendly, two thumbs up; But Neudorf isn't pretty and some of the benches outside are already rotting... Ambiance so no attempt at a record. So that was my last visit. I'm not a vegan and for 1.60 a scoop I'd rather have taste than a pure ecological conscience ------ in response to RheinEis comment: "unfortunately vegan" because I prefer sorbets to be a little fluffier, which would be achieved with egg whites (which would unfortunately contradict vegan) And the coffee grounds cups are BIOPLASTIC (polymer probably based on corn starch that is filled with coffee grounds and I think wood fibers [just ask the manufacturer]) The lack of specialist knowledge probably comes from the fact that my father had an Italian ice cream parlor ;-) and again: the service was great! You describe our business model very well in many points - we take traditional craftsmanship to a modern level and process natural ingredients and often organic products. Therefore we cannot understand why it is called “unfortunately vegan”. They are not plastic cups either, but either porcelain cups or cups made from coffee grounds. Regarding the other points, which are very difficult to understand, we have to assume a lack of specialist knowledge, which is why we unfortunately cannot address all of the points. We can very well understand that you still have to appreciate the ice cream, the service and, above all, the coffee when you criticize it - because quality has its price.
