We (my husband, little daughter, and I) stopped by this restaurant on October 26th 2021 around 17:30 during our visit to Switzerland. The waiter asked for our COVID vaccination cards. We showed our US vaccination cards with the official CDC logo. Unlike European ones, US vaccination cards are old-school, paper cards (as anyone can easily google!). The waiter denied us service claiming he doesn't recognize our vaccination cards. It was disappointing, but what happened next was even worse. My husband took a picture of the establishment (attached) and also wanted to take a picture of the waiter. When he pointed the camera, the waiter started yelling, claiming to call police, so my husband stopped taking the picture, and we left. The waiter ran after us (!), continuing yelling something in German, pointed his phone's camera to us and started talking (or pretended to?) into the phone, repeating the word "police". Only when the husband stepped in between him and my daughter and I and said that he is happy to talk to this "police", the cowardly waiter retreated back into the restaurant. Our daughter, scared by the aggressive yelling of the waiter, cried for the next 10 minutes. All other restaurants during our trip accepted our vaccination cards without any issue, and we did not experience any aggressive unprofessional behavior anywhere else in the region. So don't let this one place to give Swiss hospitality a bad name!

Hosts and staff were very friendly. No long wait until the food comes, at the beginning a greeting from the kitchen (very tasty). The food was superb, I had a bone cordon bleu. The meat was very tender, the filling very good and the homemade spaetzli were awesome. The other menus were also highly praised. I can only recommend the Restaurant Zentralstübli. Great job done.
