Please for the sake of good food and hospitality from staff DO NOT visit this restaurant. Buy yourself a sandwich or pizza or even a burger from Mc Donald but don’t waste your time searching this restaurant. I recently had a very disappointing experience at Zaanse Kathmandu Kitchen. The food was below average, and the attitude of the waitstaff was extremely poor. The lady who took our order didn’t bother writing it down, and it took 50 minutes for our main course to be served. To make matters worse, they completely missed one of the orders. When we brought this to the lady’s attention, she casually admitted she forgot, and then simply walked away to attend to other customers without any apology or effort to fix the issue. The rest of the staff were equally unprofessional, offering excuses like “we had more tables filled.” If you choose to seat 10+ tables but claim you’re understaffed, how is that the customer’s fault? I should have read the reviews more carefully, but the overall 4.4-star rating gave a misleading impression. I don’t understand how Zaanse Kathmandu Kitchen holds such a high rating. It seems like, due to the large number of customers, they’ve forgotten that each customer is important. Even on busy days, poor food quality and bad service will eventually drive people away. I won’t be visiting this restaurant again, and I certainly won’t recommend it to any of my friends. I hope they get a reality check about their behavior and attitude before they lose more customers. Also, there was zero authenticity in the Indian food they served.
