Appartement ou devrai-je plutôt dire une chambre d'hôtel très propre, très spacieuse, proche du centre ville avec une terrasse très large. Magnifique ! Je reviendrai sûrement

Très joli petit hôtel très bien situé ! Le personnel est très professionnel, ils sont venus nous chercher sur la promenade car nous ne trouvions pas l’hôtel. Ils prennent le temps de tout vous expliquer. L’hôtel n’étant pas plein, nous avons été upgradé. Le petit déjeuné est bien. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

We're currently on a 3 1/2 week trip through Croatia, Montenegro, etc, which has given us a good sense of the level of service, accommodations, etc that can be expected of 4- and 5-star hotels in the region. Hotel Vestibul Palace is located in the middle of Diocletian's Palace — you rarely get a hotel in a more unique location than this! — right in Old Town Split. It's surrounded by restaurants, and 2 minutes walk from the Riva. Super convenient! In terms of service, they're highly competent and solid. I wouldn't necessarily say amazing — few are — but definitely above average. No complaints there. In terms of the room itself (we stayed in Room #7), it was fine, but not necessarily something to write home about. However, for being a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the "luxury" part feels lacking. For example, the bath towels were relatively small and thin, and reminded me of the type of towels frequently use in college dorms (read: budget). The room itself was small, which is understandable considering the location, but also *felt* small. We've stayed in plenty of small rooms, and you can definitely tell when the decisions made for a space has been thoughtfully chosen with a design-mindset — from the type, quality, and placement of furniture, to the way lighting is selected and where they're positioned. These sort of decisions end up making a room feel larger than it actually is, spark joy, feel relaxing, and creates a sense of luxury. Overall, this is a solid 4.5 stars: above average, but room for improvement.

Dear Junshien, thank You for Your detailed review. We are glad to see that You enjoyed hotel's location and service, it means the world to us! Regarding the room itself, it is in the middle by size at our hotel. It also has original wall from medieval times. As You had may seen, this room is very sunny and at the top of the building. Interiorwise, it has a distinctive touch and it is among guests' favourite overall. We believe its construction followed all available designer trends, with keeping the original architecture in mind. In addition, during construction of the hotel there were a lot of city and state regulations that kept original style, but also obliged hotel to stay within boundaries and that is the reason for the size of hotel's rooms. We suggest You to book Junior or Luxury Suite next time should You require extra space and comfort. We will inquire housekeeping report for that day, since very often we get delivery of new and fresh towels, thank You for letting us know. Have a wonderful day and best regards!
