We have been fans of the council chambers for years. Even before their star, they impressed with creative flavor compositions, good products, a feel-good atmosphere and natural hospitality and have been making visiting the restaurant an experience ever since! Inconspicuous from the outside, but very tasteful from the inside. The way to the council chamber (it feels like) goes through small corridors (depending on which entrance you use) but once you get to the dining room it feels very tastefully decorated. The large "wine fridge" in the middle of the guest room looks spectacular, but not pretentious or "out there". You arrive very quickly, which we really liked. There is probably no à la carte menu, there is one menu to choose from, which you can order with a different number of courses. We chose 6 courses with caviar, the price was absolutely fair. The plates were cleaned more than once with the bread, everything was really tasty and very well balanced and seasoned. The amberjack was my personal highlight. We found the personalized menu card on the table very nice. We also asked by email days in advance whether there were any allergies or intolerances, whether we would eat everything, etc. It's almost mandatory now, but I still found it interesting. It started with various amuse bouches that came with the aperitif - non-alcoholic alternatives were also offered. It was very positive for us that there was a lot of fish on the menu. Everything is very aromatic and never intrusive. It harmonized in the mouth. The wine recommendations (I had ordered the 6-course accompaniment) were also appropriate and high quality. There was champagne with the caviar, which is not always usual with such wine arrangements. It fit and you felt comfortable. We definitely had a nice evening and it was worth it. At the end of the menu there was Kaiserschmarrn with stewed plums. Mid-August, at 24 degrees C. That didn't really suit the light menu or the season/temperature. Our opinion. Before the main course, we asked if we could write the wines on the menu card, which we then got printed out shortly before our coffee. I found it positive. We would have liked a little more conversation with the service - also because we are both experts and have a corresponding background. All in all, it was a very nice evening and we are happy to recommend the Ratsstuben Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
