if u came here for the kushikatsu then dont come here becuase my expectations were too high for this mid tasting food. for the kushikatsu: zuccihi was bland scallop was tough meatball was bland ans not fat enougu pork was tought beef tasted bland and kinda tought coudlnt bite the ovtopus unagi tasted normal and crust wasnt as crispy as i wanted. scallop carpaccio tasted interesting- it tasted like an egg salad with extra vinegar on it 3.5/5 fried shrimp as an abomination which was so raw it could be still moving, smothered in a large anount of mayo and sirracha to the point where u can only taste the condiments and not the shrimp itself 0/5 unagi bibimbap tasted store brought and there is no depth in flavour whatsoever, but beet bibimbap is slightly better cuz they added sauce to the rice( it tasted like soy sauce) but the beef was as tough as ungraded meat. overall 1.5/5 sashimi salad was sweet and sour and it was just mid tbh nothing special 2/5 their watermelon drink tasted real good when you add all of their citrus provided. 4.5/5 they also had MARINATED FRIED CHICKEN WOAHH RARITY IN VANCOUVER which was crispy, tender, juicy, flavourful, and the crust was thin which was perfect. i wish the oil was less old cuz u can kinda taste it 4.8/5 and lastly their hochija dessert was absolulty distasteful- its so sweet that i wanted to throw up tue moment i entered my mouth but id u like sweet then its a really creamy and smooth pudding 0/5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very impressed by Rajio Japanese Public House! Brought us back to our travels in Japan. As a sister restaurant to Raisu and Suika, it maintains a traditional izakaya vibe, complete with authentic food and a lively atmosphere. We walked in with no reservation around 6 pm and were seated immediately, though by 7:30 pm it was bustling. The menu offered a fun twist on traditional dishes, including their specialty, kushikatsu deep-fried skewers. Everything we ordered was delicious and well-priced. The drinks menu was unique, they have large rotating specials sheet, and the pre-fixed set has generous portion and good variety. Highly recommend!
