The food was terrible, the service was below average, and the atmosphere deader than my grandmother. I ordered breaded squid, which costs 50-60 lei, from what I remember, and they brought me squid already frozen in batter. It was absolutely horrible. Too bad for the villa and the beautiful view. My recent visit to the Queen Elisabeth restaurant in Constanta, Romania, left me with mixed feelings and moderate to bad impressions. While there were some positive aspects, there were also some drawbacks that affected my overall experience. Let's start with the positive aspects. The interior of the restaurant had a charming, old-fashioned ambience that transported me to another time. The décor and atmosphere were reminiscent of a bygone era and I loved that so much effort had been made to create a unique and nostalgic environment. However, it's important to mention that my experience deteriorated when it came to the service. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, which seemed to be more of a cultural issue than a lack of competence or friendliness on the part of the staff.. The food was also underwhelming. I decided to start with bruschetta as a starter to test the quality of the cuisine. Unfortunately, it failed to impress me and I decided not to proceed with a main course. One notable drawback was the unpleasant smell that prevailed in the restaurant. The stale air affected the overall atmosphere. In summary, my visit to the Queen Elisabeth Restaurant in Constanta was a rather disappointing experience. While the interior design and ambience evoked a sense of nostalgia, the service, food and unpleasant smell in the restaurant left much to be desired. It's clear that there is room for improvement in some areas to provide guests with a more pleasant dining experience.
